3rd line Technical Support/Infrastructure Project Manager

There is an opportunity for an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join this expanding business to aid its continued growth.
The Role
As one of the more senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working with other technical colleagues providing second and third line support and will be given ample opportunity to provide input to their future projects and plans.
You will be responsible for setting up and managing projects, ensuring that any changes and new technologies are successfully implemented.
You will be responsible for all infrastructure and operations aspects of the retained servers, systems storage, Active Directory, data migrations to cloud, physical to virtual and overall improvements.
You will also be maintaining and implementing effective working practices, aiding the design and maintenance of the infrastructure strategy and model to improve systems availability, performance and incidents. You could also be taking part within key projects such as AWS, SCCM and MDM implementations.
There is an on-call rota which you may be part of, when needed.
The Technical Environment
Working with data centre technologies such as SAN, Virtualisation, Servers and Network. You will need to have a good mix of skills for this technical environment which includes:
- AWS/Azure
- Windows server/clients
- MAC clients
- Active Directory
- Backups
- PowerShell
- Office 365
You will also have a good knowledge of the industry and best practices, methodologies, techniques, tools and resources.

£45,000 - £48,000 Manchester base
