Big Data Developer

Contract. 6 Months +. Coventry. Government. Outside of IR35 Scope

Big Data Developer required in Coventry. You will work within the data workstream in Technology transformation.

Technical Skills

• Experience of developing data services with C# and Python services using frameworks like Django, Flask
• Expert in designing and developing complex data models use of query languages including: SQL, GraphQL
• Experience engineering with data technologies including Big Data (Hadoop, CosmosDB, Cassandra) No-SQL (MongoDB) and RDBMS (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and applying data management techniques like data matching, caching and data virtualisation
• Ideally a good understanding of applied machine learning and statistical modelling

General Experience

• General experience of software design and development working with Cloud environments including Microsoft Azure
• Experience of working in an agile delivery environment working with DevOps: scoping and task sizing, understanding CI/CD, infrastructure as code, working with test automation
• Background of working with sensitive personal data and applying secure software development (detailed understanding of the OWASP top 10 essential)
