Business Change Project Manager - Coventry

Contract. Coventry. 3 Months. Public Sector. Further Education. £450-£500 Per day

Project Manager required urgently in Coventry. This is an immediate start position with interviews taking place on the 30th June. The ideal candidate will have experience of performing an IT-enabled project or programme management role, particularly on projects delivering IT enabled business change

Description

  • Delivery of assigned projects on time, to agreed quality and cost parameters
  • Creation and maintenance of Project documentation
  • Creation and maintenance of Project & Resource plans
  • Creation and maintenance of Decision logs
  • Establish and manage teams capable of delivering work streams according to agreed scope, budget and timeline
  • Identify and resolves risks or issues threatening the successful delivery of the project, through the creation and maintenance of risks and issues logs
  • Identify all documentation required and complete within the allotted timescales for successful stage gate approvals.
  • Ensures projects adhere to IT Group's Governance process
  • Creates weekly and monthly project reporting to agreed structure
  • Management of Change Requests through IT Group's Governance process
  • Management of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers

Skills (essential)

  • Experience of interpreting business requirements to inform business case and project description development
  • PPM - knowledge and/or practical experience of the application of PRINCE2 and/or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) PPM methodologies is essential.
  • Experience of performing an IT-enabled project or programme management role, particularly on projects delivering IT enabled business change
  • Extensive experience of Project planning to ensure logical and prioritised delivery plans
  • Experience of managing Technical and Non-Technical resources
  • Experience of managing projects resources for 3rd party suppliers
  • Knowledge of procurement procedures and constraints
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrable experience of resolving project related issues and blockers
  • Experience of managing projects resources for 3rd party suppliers

Preferred skills

  • Experience of performing an IT-enabled project or programme management role, particularly on projects delivering IT enabled business change
  • An understanding of and experience of working in the Education sector
