Job Description

Our public sector client is looking to recruit a Civil Engineer to provide support to its in-house design team. The post will be located in Glasgow on a hourly rate of £23.35.

For the role the applicant will require to be degree qualified or have HNC/HND and have significant design experience.

The successful candidate will require to have experience, within the following works areas:

  1. Roads and drainage design.
  2. CAD literate with experience using either Microsataion or Civil 3D.
  3. Microdrainge experience.
  4. A good knowledge of all elements of Civil Engineering design.
  5. Ability to work independently and within multi-disciplinary design teams.

Within this role you will work on a number of different roads and drainage projects for education, social work, healthcare and infrastructure schemes. There will be a requirement to undertake engineering analysis, design and prepare calculations for civil/roads projects. In addition to design duties there is a requirement to write reports, attend design meetings, carry out inspections and liaise with clients contractors and other designers.

It would also be desirable for the successful candidate to hold a driving licence.
