Permanent. Merseyside or Surrey. Global FMCG. £Competitve salary+ Car allowance.

Collaboration Platform Strategy & Demand Manager required to join a prestigious global client in either Surrey or Merseyside. You will be an ambitious senior manager with a proven track record to head up Collaboration Strategy & Demand team in a newly established Collaboration Platform team. With a significant mandate this team is tasked to lead the business in to the new world of cloud collaboration and productivity, a key component in the Digital Employee Experience.

You'll be someone who loves to make things happen and gets excited about identifying and delivering simple solutions to complex problems, at pace. You will be responsible for providing best in class collaboration technology strategy and leading platform developments, achieving cost efficiency through scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop the vision and strategy for digital workplace & collaboration tools in the business.
  • Lead the strategic engagement with Microsoft 'Polaris' to be the representative on the global Microsoft customer advisory board ensuring the clients needs are represented directly to the product teams.
  • Create and lead the collaboration technology road map, owning the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical activities, in close collaboration with dedicated project managers and collaboration design authority.
  • Product management, through your team, of several products including Sharepoint (knowledge sharing & Intranet) and collaboration tools (MS Teams, Groups etc.)
  • Champion the planning of future product developments, driving the specification of requirements (user stories) and creation of concept definitions for current and future features by conducting research; communicating succinctly with stakeholders, users and customers and by analysing user behaviour to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Effectively manage and motivate many different types of geographically dispersed stakeholders and build the commitment to actively support delivery.
  • Act as the Collaboration Technology SME for the Business, with a strong strategic understanding of the positioning for business collaboration capabilities and alignment to Microsoft and Salesforce evergreen strategies. You will be accountable for ensuring the solutions are positioned for highest levels of adoption and fit to business priorities.
  • Lead the Platform Strategy & Demand team, delivering continuous platform innovation and global demand management for solutions in partnership with Design Authority, Activation Business Engagement teams. Lead a DevOps framework of delivery for platform innovation, maximising the efficiency of delivery with our partners.

Required skills and experience

  • Have in-depth collaboration technical knowledge
  • Strong leadership skills and experience, creating possibilities and inspiring others to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Expertise in building teams, project modes of delivery and DevOps
  • Agile development knowledge or experience working within an Agile / Scrum framework
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills (cross-functional), with experience working alongside activation, developers, users, stakeholders and consumers
  • Excellent supplier (Dev, SI, Offshore) relationships and management skills
  • Excellent experience of process flow, funnels, wireframes, and journey mapping
