Data Modeller/Architect - SC cleared

A rare opportunity has arisen for an SC cleared Data Modeller/Architect to join a long running secure programme, where you will have the chance to make a real difference to how things work in the public sector. Please note you must hold valid SC clearance to be considered for the role.

The role is based predominantly in London, however you will be flexible in terms of travel to other sites on a weekly basis.

If successful you will join an established team and work with the Data Migration team and report into the Data Workstream Lead, you will be responsible for the conceptual, logical and physical data modelling for the end-to-end process and for developing the feedback mechanism between each model.

This project is demanding in terms of its delivery timeframes and to be successful you must quickly settle into the team structure and begin delivering to a high level of quality.

Core Skills set:

  • Conceptual, logical and physical Data Modelling (both 3NF/NoSQL)
  • Understanding general architect framework (TOGAF, MODAF)
  • Data Modelling Tools (any e.g. Erwin, Power Designer, Spark)
  • Business Intelligence knowledge (specially, Power BI, OBIEE)
  • Understanding different models i.e. relational
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban
  • ETL and ingestion pipeline building
  • Understanding of Data lineage
  • Understanding of Metadata
  • Enterprise Application platform knowledge and support models knowledge
  • Dynamics 365 Architecture experience
  • Cloud Solutions including AWS, Office 365 and Azure
  • MS Collaboration tools including SharePoint
  • Core Infrastructure services - Active Directory, File Transfers (XML, XSD, json, html, CSV data parsing)
  • Experience and understanding of effective data storage, data retention, and database management (structures, non-structured data: images, voice, etc.)

Desirable:

  • Application Architecture
  • 3rd Party Supplier Management experience
  • Agile product development lifecycle experience
  • Network and Security concepts and understanding
  • Desirable public sector experience

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible and own the conceptual, logical and physical data modelling for the end-to-end process, including AS-IS and TO-BE and develop feedbacks mechanism for between each model
  • ETL design for the data migration
  • Responsible for logical level data mapping exercise
  • Responsible for data architecture consistency and integrity in sprint developments and engagement in day-to-day product development lifecycle
  • Assist, design and maintain the data migration solution design approach
