Job Description

Digital Projects Manager - Edinburgh - 6 to 9 months

Experienced Digital Projects Manager required for an initial fixed term contract (6-9 months) based in central Edinburgh. As part of the Marketing and Communications team the Digital Projects Manager supports the Web & Digital Products Manager in the management and delivery of the digital elements of the large programme.

The role supports a key national programme with two main elements: managing and supporting the existing website and programme management system, and project managing the introduction of a digital product for users.

  • Highly organised with the ability to plan and manage changing priorities and drive through completion of tasks to agreed timelines
  • Approachable with a commitment to delivering excellent support to internal and external users
  • Work well within a small team to deliver shared priorities and goals
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse organisational teams to manage competing priorities and staff expectations

Key Responsibilities

  • Website management and support
  • Manage the website and registration system for a key programme, troubleshooting internal support issues and liaising with external developers where required
  • Brief website changes to suppliers, managing the testing and delivery of developments
  • Work with the CRM Manager to ensure that data structures, imports and exports work effectively to support reporting across the organisations programmes
  • Identify development needs for future cycles of the programme, making recommendations for additional development
  • Support programme staff to develop and post user-focused content
  • Update and maintain user guides and technical documentation for staff
  • Digital product development
  • Identify and prepare content for the digital product
  • Budget management and project reporting
  • Experience of managing effective external relationships with suppliers and developers to achieve project goals
  • Experience of project management, ideally in a fast-paced digital environment
  • Experience of acceptance testing and offering feedback on digital product development
  • Understanding of website design and development
  • Experience of requirements gathering in digital projects
