Contract. 6 Months+. Central Government. Milton Keynes. £250-£265 Per day

Outside of IR35 scope

SC/DV Cleared EUC SCCM Specialist to support, operate and expand the current Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager environment, enabling the streamlining of the End User Device (EUD) build process, and execution of successful software deployment.

The role

  • To support, operate and expand the current Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager environment, enabling the streamlining of the End User Device (EUD) build process, and execution of successful software deployment
  • To maintain within ICT Operations the hardware, software, licensing for all aspects of the EUD Services.
  • Provide end to end service support for EUDs, including direct user support to director level.
  • Support EUD background infrastructure, including
    • Active Directory,
    • Group Policy,
    • Disk encryption such as BitLocker with TPM,
    • Microsoft System Centre Endpoint Protection,
    • Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager,
    • McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and Endpoint Protection Suite,
    • Microsoft Windows Software Update Service,
    • Lumension Endpoint Management and Security Suite.
  • Skills transfer and development of an employee to develop the capability within the current team.
  • To maintain and support the ICT Operating model including Policy, Process and procedures to ITIL 3 standard.
  • The delivery and execution of an integrated and consistent document set related to the product support requirement.

Skills/Experience Required

  • SC Clearance, and willingness to undergo DV if required.
  • Good working knowledge of packaging and deployments with SCCM 2012R2.
  • Good working knowledge of EUD build process, automation and streamlining.
  • High level of understanding of the technical environments preferably with a strong technical background across multiple platforms and secure environments.
  • The ability to work as a key member of the EUD Service Team and to be part of a service team striving to achieve exemplary service.
  • The ability to communicate clearly at all user levels.
  • The ability to create and support operational process documentation, for use across the business.
  • Experience in supporting and configuring 4 of following: -
    1. Active Directory,
    2. Group Policy,
    3. Disk encryption such as BitLocker with TPM,
    4. Microsoft System Centre Endpoint Protection,
    5. Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager,
    6. McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator and Endpoint Protection Suite,
    7. Microsoft Windows Software Update Service,
    8. Lumension Endpoint Management and Security Suite.
