Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Facilities Management Contracts Manager with our public-sector client for a 4 -6 months contract £135.77 per day based in Inverness.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all Facilities Management contracts within all clients locations to ensure contract specifications are fit for purpose and contracts are delivered in line with service level agreements.

Essential Skills:

  • Good standard of formal education or equivalent work experience
  • Experience of managing a wide-range of service contracts, with both national and local contractors
  • Experience of procuring and mobilising contracts
  • Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workload
  • Experience of working as part of a team but also ability to work on own initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident and articulate communicator who can adapt approach to stakeholders and contractors
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and persuade key decision makers and lead negotiations
  • A high standard of IT literacy
  • A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle or alternative means of transport
  • Flexibility to travel as necessary

Desirable Skills:

  • IOSH Managing Safety
  • CIPS qualification
  • Management of contracts within a Facilities Management or customer focused environment
  • Experience of budget management
  • Experience of managing health and safety within the workplace
  • Knowledge of project management techniques
  • Knowledge of health and safety principles and desire to contribute towards a safe working environment
  • Ability to develop service specifications and monitor service performance
  • A customer focused approach
  • Gaelic language skills (speaking, reading or writing)
