Head of Infrastructure & Operations - Gourock - Permanent

Salary of between £60-65k

Role Overview
You would be supporting a highly mobile asset intensive Organisation (with Organisational aspirations of moving quickly onto the Digital arena plus business expansion) with the provision of critical services into the West of Scotland, ensures that this critical IT leadership role will be responsible for the delivery of consistent, performant and highly available project and technology services which enable this, in effect, the role holder will:

  • Report into the CIO.
  • Work as a key member of the IT Leadership Team, continually improving the delivery of all IT Services.
  • Have a thorough understanding of core infrastructure and the value which this provides into an Organisation.
  • Understand the Organisation's Strategy & Objectives in order to ensure Infrastructure services align with business requirements.
  • Work with the Leadership Team to understand IT initiatives and strategies, developing appropriate responses timelines and resources to support these including new service introduction into the I&O function.
  • Manage the end to end service lifecycle, working closely through the business partner network and via appropriate governance, advising Business leaders on any and all risks associated with system lifecycle challenges and opportunities.
  • Improve and innovate Infrastructure services/processes to streamline and improve customer experience.
  • Ensure appropriate and fit for purpose contracts and vendors are in place in support of Business plans.
  • Ensure that all appropriate steps are taken to adhere to all compliance requirements including Security, regulatory and Asset control.
  • Be responsible for internal customer satisfaction from delivery of a 'fit for purpose' Service Desk and support environment including appropriately approved SLA's, negotiated via the business partner framework and governance.
