Information Security Analyst

Our leading global financial services client has an urgent requirement for an IT Security Analyst / Information security Analyst - to work as part of the regional security team ensuring projects and services delivered by the company's services are implemented and maintained according to the company and Standards and relevant regulatory controls.

You will be responsible for providing specialist advice, ensuring security solutions meet requirements. You will identify requirements and communicate this to the relevant team members to deliver bespoke security solutions.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Provide specialist advise to Regional heads. Responsible for ensuring effective implementation of key security processes and solutions covering Data Leakage, Vulnerability Management, Network Access Control, Security Compliance Management, Privilege User management, Vulnerability and threat Management and Security Event management across multiple technologies during the project lifecycle.
  • Review the current security status and compliance for the region. Liaise with projects, customer representatives, technical staff and other teams to interpret Information Security and technical security standards and ensure they are effectively implemented as part of the project delivery lifecycle.
  • Engage with Regional heads to disseminate Security communications
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of security solutions, define, design and build enterprise- level security solutions to support the build of security capability in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure that functional security requirements and non-functional are understood and built into the design process.

Key skills and experience

  • Broad knowledge of IT service provision concepts resulting from working experience in IT in a technical or service orientated role (technical architecture, systems administration support, information security analyst, service manager etc.)
  • Solid technical understanding of Infrastructure data centre security architecture, concepts and implementation.
  • Solid technical understanding and experience of the following solutions, Secunia CSI, and/or Websense Triton DLP and/or Cisco ISE NAC.
  • Solid technical understanding of at least four of the main supported systems (i.e. Linux, Windows, On premise and cloud virtualisation (VMware, Azure, AWS) Office 365, Firewalls, networking, databases, web hosting.
  • Experience of network and host Intrusion Detection\Prevention solutions, DDoS mitigation, CyberARK, Arcsight SIEM, Email and Web Content Management.
  • Preferably relevant qualifications in information security (e.g. CISSP) and direct experience with information security standards (e.g. ISO 27001/2) and regulatory legislation (e.g. PCI DSS and UK DPA)
  • Ability to take the lead role, strong communication skills, particularly the ability to negotiate, influence, and promote security principles.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • Good networking skills
  • Good understanding and awareness of customer requirements.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to customer needs.
