IT Contracts Manager - Permanent - £40-48K - Leeds - Public Sector

Our Public Sector client is looking for an IT Contract Manager to play a pivotal role in defining, establishing and growing a Contract and Supplier Management capability, supporting the delivery of our key strategic programmes, as well as supporting the wider change portfolio and delivery of IT services.

Duties:

  • Designing, implementing and managing the IT contracts and supplier management framework, including the controls, governance and processes;
  • Managing contractor delivery; including leading valuation of medium value/medium risk contracts and providing assurance to all progress meetings to actively influence supplier's commercial behaviours, delivery and activity;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance on contracts and supplier management to key stakeholder within the IT Service and the wider university in order to support the delivery of an improved contract and supplier capability and ongoing continuous improvement across all areas of the IT Service;
  • Leading the development and negotiation of IT implementation and service contracts;
  • Providing expert advice and guidance during cost negotiation of existing IT contracts and framework agreements and leading the associated quantitative risk assessment and value management reviews;
  • Identifying, advising, managing and reporting on all commercial and supplier risks/claim events, putting in place the processes, tools and ways of working to deliver this capability and manage the risks and issues with implementation and service contracts;
  • Promoting informed decision making through management information, developing the capability to produce, maintain and enhance forecasting reports and KPI's on contract and supplier risks and value and the capability to provide ad-hoc management information and analysis, as and when required;
