Job Description

IT Helpdesk and 2nd Line Support - Edinburgh - £120 per day - 3 Months

A fantastic opportunity to work with our large public sector client. You will provide Helpdesk Support and 2nd Line Support support services. This will entail detailed 1st line call logging and first time fixes, producing a high level of service by mainting your calls assigned list and 2nd line incident resolution, including involvement in a Windows 10 rollout project.

Additional tasks may include the building and deployment of devices and floor walking post-deployment, as well as asset management.

Essential Skills

  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10. Proficient using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, in Office 2016 and Office 365
  • Recent experience of providing first and second line support in a large, networked environment
  • Is well organised, with an analytical approach to problem solving
  • Experience of supporting smartphones/tablets, laptops and remote users
  • Experience of using an incident management software package, preferably Assyst, to record incidents and update configuration items
  • All candidates will have to undergo a Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) if successful
