IT Helpdesk & 2nd Line Support - 6-month contract Edinburgh

Our Public-Sector client based in Edinburgh has an exciting opportuntiy for a skilled IT Helpdesk professional to deliver a customer focused support service to users regarding helpdesk and 2nd line IT issues. You will be responsible for detailed and consistent call logging, incident resolution and the building/deployment of devices.

Essential skills:

  • Experience in supporting users with little technical knowledge with understandable and adaptable use of language
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Previous experience of providing 2nd line support face to face and over the phone
  • Experience of using incident management software packages
  • Experience of supporting smartphones, laptops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Experience of supporting mobile devices and printers
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/10, Office 2013/Office 2016 and Office 365

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with a government or Public Sector organisation, please be advised successful candidates will require a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland.
