1st/2nd Line Helpdesk Support - Edinburgh, Microsoft, Office 365, Outlook

Our higher education client based in Edinburgh has a fantastic opportunity for three Helpdesk Support professionals. You will be responsible for providing support to staff and students and giving best practice advice and guidance on the use of a wide range of IT services.

Essential skills:

  • Experience of working in an IT Helpdesk environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office 2016, Office 365, Microsoft Outlook, web browsers and the supported operating systems (Windows 7, Mac OS)
  • Experience configuring computers, mobile devices and printers.
  • Experience supporting Wi-Fi and remote access technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate with people of all ages, backgrounds and levels within the university and beyond.
  • Able to explain technical issues in simple, easy to understand language.
  • Experience in analysing, diagnosing and resolving computing problems.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with a higher education organisation and will have knowledge/experience of education systems such as Moodle, Learn, Collaborate, Pebble Pad.
