PMO Manager / Project / Business Change & Transformation / £50,000+ Benefits
As part of a UK leading financial service business expansion we are now recruiting for a PMO Manager to join their Portfolio, Programme and Project Office, based in their Hereford Head Office. In this role, you'll lead a team Senior Project Managers and Project Managers who will deliver programmes and projects across the business. You will be responsible for the scheduling and reporting of project and programme status and performance.
As PMO Manager, some of your key duties will include:

  • Developing project and programme management best practice guidelines and templates and their periodic update
  • Ensuring that project managers have been trained in the use of methodologies and best practice
  • Supporting post project processes such as ensuring that post implementation benefit realisation reviews are carried out and reported
  • Creating a common set of practices, principles and templates for managing projects.
  • Line management of the team of Senior Project Manager, including appraisals, recruitment and regular 1-2-1s


You'll demonstrate to us that you have:

  • Demonstrable experience establishing and managing a Project Management Office in an IT/Information Systems led projects environment
  • Significant experience managing complex programmes or projects at a Senior level
  • Significant, demonstrable IT and Business User experience, ideally gained within a Fintech or Financial Services environment.
  • Knowledge of project and change management processes and methodologies, including Prince2 and Agile, and good knowledge of project planning tools, such as MS Project or similar project management software
  • Advanced analytical, strategic planning and execution skills to maintain portfolio alignment to the business strategy
