Procurement Administrator - CTC cleared - £160 per day

Within my large public sector client, I am working with a team who provide service desk support in multi UK locations. Their role is to ensure seamless delivery and availability of IT services to end user to help them deliver the Government agenda.

Job Description

The role provides procurement support to a very busy commercial department reporting to the Commercial Manager. The role will carry out a range of administrative duties under the direction of the Commercial Manager which will range from requirements gathering, assimilation of information and reporting, and requisition administration, Invoice checking and analysis and general queries

The duties are listed thus but not limited to the below;

  • Managing the procurement life cycle of goods and services
  • Requesting pricing information for all internal stakeholders
  • Maintaining a procurement filing system
  • Obtaining, preparing and forwarding invoices for payment, updating databases, filing, and organising documents for accounts
  • Managing commodity reports
  • Managing and monitoring all procurement related queries log and ensuring all enquiries are completed and resolved/closed down
  • Supporting the commercial manager by ensuring goods and services are delivered to the standard, performance and cost agreed within the contract
  • Fostering and maintaining a positive and effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stake holders on a day to day basis
  • Assisting with the recruitment process of professional services

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent organisational skills and good attention to detail
  • Previous experience of working in a busy procurement department
  • Ability to prioritise work
  • Good arithmetical skills and numerical accuracy
  • Ability to use MS Office suite and G-Suite tools
  • Good clear communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships in existing networks
  • Produce and deliver monthly reports
