Project Communications Lead - Internal

Contract. 3 Months +. Private Sector. £300-£350 Per day. West Midlands

Internal Communications Lead required to work within the change programme within Developer Services team and maintain a strong link back to the internal comms team. You will create a programme communications framework, develop the key messages and material ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed throughout the change lifecycle. It is expected that at the end of the assignment this will be handed over to the change team to continue to deliver in partnership with the Comms Business Partner.

The role

  • Work with Project team to Identify Project comms requirements and establish an internal communications strategy and narrative
  • Develop a project communications framework that works for Developer Services and aligns with group comms strategy and approach.
  • Produce on brand briefing materials, articulating the case/drivers for change, vision, values and roadmap.
  • Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communication mediums for sharing progress against the timeline and to focus on key initiatives at key points in time.
  • Respond to feedback and adjust communications content accordingly.
  • Support specific project comms dependant on project lifecycle and implementation.
  • Create a central SharePoint site to store all the collateral driving people there for further information.

Skills and experience

  • At least 5 years' experience in communications management.
  • Experience of developing and implementing internal communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness
  • Experience of advising senior managers on complex internal communication challenges
  • Strong writing, editing, proof reading, layout and design, including ability to present concepts verbally
  • Experience of writing for a variety of audiences
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Share Point
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and excel)
  • Project and change management
