Project Manager - Contact Centre Procurement

Contract. Sheffield. 6 months +. Government. Outside of IR35

Urgent requirement for a Project Manager in Sheffield. The contract for the National Contact Centre comes to an end in early May 2018 and a new contract needs to be procured to seamlessly transition the current service from the old to the new contract. Currently the contract supports 3 services - It is anticipated that the new contract will be scalable and flexible enough to support multiple services if required.

The role

  • Define, plan and mobilise the project activity to procure an outsourced National Contact Centre
  • Provide and maintain project management governance artefacts to recognised PRINCE 2 standards
  • Support any overarching programme governance requirements
  • Manage risks and issues, escalating as appropriate
  • Oversee the production of procurement documentation, work within procurement governance,
  • Achieve contract award and manage the transition into live of outsourced services
  • There is also a need to support an additional piece of work which in the first instance is to define a commercial strategy for a support consolidation project but this may extend to providing similar support as the above to an additional procurement or integrating that activity within the National Contact Centre procurement.

Skills and experience required

  • Project Manager qualification and experience managing projects. You will be required to produce a All PRINCE compliant Plan in MS Project - including timely delivery of all deliverables
  • Previous experience of vendor selection, procurement of public sector services
  • Previous experience of contract writing
  • Knowledge of contact centres Sets service requirements, payment mechanisms, MI requirements, technical interface requirements, transition requirements
