Python/Data Developer - SQL - Linux - Edinburgh - 6 months

Our client is looking for a Python/Data Developer - SQL - Linux with a rigorous approach to technical engineering practices to help them design, build and support maintainable data transformation pipelines that combine Python services, databases and ETL tools.

Essential criteria:

• An expert in using Python for data processing in large organisations and who is able to lead good practice around safety and quality.
• Strong expertise with SQL (PostGIS ideally), and data analytic techniques and some knowledge of big data concepts around transforms of legacy data including spatial.
• An expert in using Linux, Jenkins, Ansible, Git and Docker in a devops environment to run multiple distributed services in a virtualised environment.
• An expert in using TDD, BDD, refactoring, pairing, CI/CD
