Regional HR Operations services Lead

Perm. Birmingham. £45,000-£54,400 Per Annum. + Benefits. Public Sector

The HR Operations Regional HR Lead will be responsible for managing the Regional HR Managers, Senior Caseworkers and Regional Trainers to enable the delivery of a seamless and productive experience for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR Operations services in unison with the Tier 2 Central Lead, reporting into the HR Operational Services Manager
  • Manage the Tier 2 Regional HR teams to ensure consistency of service delivery and integration across the operating model
  • Ensure Tier 2 Regional HR teams are adequately resourced and deployed to meet the demands of the business, assessing what services require local deployment and considering what can be absorbed through the central team
  • Ensure that technical HR casework capability is developed across Tier 2 HR Operations
  • Draw regional delivery and casework expertise to provide input to the development of the wider HR Operations strategy, plan and budget; ensuring this is aligned to Highways England's business requirements and the overall People Strategy
  • Provide vision, leadership, planning, and management for the implementation of an effective Tier 2
  • Work closely with the HR Operational Services Manager to ensure alignment, improve efficiencies, and drive consistency across the wide breadth of services provided by Tier 2
  • Manage and appropriately deploy Regional HR Managers to effectively deliver generalist HR support and coaching services to the business
  • Manage Senior Caseworkers to deliver effective casework support to managers
  • Build and maintain a strong team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building and succession planning

Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree, preferably in HR, business administration, or a related field or commensurate professional experience(Essential)
  • Master's degree in HR or business administration (Desirable)
  • Professional body (e.g., CIPD, REC, etc.) member (Desirable
  • Experience in all facets of end to end Core HR (Essential)
  • Proven experience leading a team and handling complex queries (Essential)
  • Proven experience in areas of technical capabilities (Essential)
  • Private sector experience (Desirable)
