Job Description

Research Analyst - £55,000


The job involves project and programme management of research studies and consultancy for a wide range of needs and issues.

· Specification and preparation of analysis of survey data, including quality assurance
· Designing and developing research studies including qual and quant research of online surveys
· Commissioning, managing and reporting research
· Collating relevant research from secondary resources
· Collating desk research; gathering statistical information; contributing to proposals; writing papers or reports
· Online survey design, implementation and reporting through our inhouse internet survey tool

Essential skills:

· Relevant experience of market research project management
· Ability to analyse large volumes of data accurately and carry out quality assurance on data tables and analysis produced by external agencies
· Substantial experience of using PowerPoint and other packages to present complex data in creative and engaging ways

Required technical skills:

· Able to draft and deliver complex, strategic written communications e.g. in meetings, written reports, briefings for the Chairman and CEO, presentations
· Ability to work alongside technical staff and incorporate technical priorities
· Ability to create and implement sets of data conventions
· Questionnaire drafting and survey instrument development
· Knowledge of the consumer landscape in the UK

Desirable criteria:

· Experience of systems and programmes used to support analysis (e.g. SPSS, Stata, Q etc)
· Knowledge of and practical experience in the use of statistics and associated applications (e.g. cluster and factor analysis)
· Familiarity with qualitative and other forms of research
· Awareness of behavioural economics and its application through market research
