Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Search Marketing Specialist (PPC) with our client for a 6 months fixed term contract based in Dunfermline.

Main duties:

  • Day-to-day management of the AdWords and BingAds PPC Accounts
  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of keyword bids, account daily and monthly
    budget caps, impression share, quality score and other important account metrics.
  • Analyse trends and make data-driven decisions to optimise the activity
  • Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign
    structuring, targeting, and other facets of paid search
  • Write compelling ad copy and make creative copy suggestions for localised search
  • Plan, run and report on ad copy and landing page A/B tests
  • Competitor monitoring / reporting and putting together plans to to stand out in the crowd
  • Support local SEO management with link building and outreach as well as writing and
    optimising website content, conducting keyword research to ensure optimisation of all
    clients websites so they appear organically in the search engine results pages

Essential Skills:

  • This role would be ideal for someone with 12-18 months experience in PPC role
  • A good understanding of the digital marketing mix, including SEO experience for
    optimising website landing pages and link building together with pay per click, email and
    social media marketing
  • Experience of Google Search Console
  • Solid understanding of website calls to actions and copywriting to support conversions
    and online customer acquisition and retention
  • Basic knowledge of link building and outreach
  • Be up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and how they impact on search engine rankings
  • A good understanding of Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising to support PPC activity which
    will include, Campaign, ad group and keyword optimisation, copywriting, day-to-day
    budget management and reporting
  • An understanding of the basics of content marketing including contributions towards
    ideas, research and tone of voice geared towards delivering content customers need
    and want
  • Ideally knowledge of using a CMS (WordPress, Umbraco) and email management
