Senior Full Stack Developer
Manchester City Centre
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Full Stack Developer, specialising in Microsoft .NET (C#) combined with additional broad technical interests. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to good engineering practices, an interest in web and mobile platforms, experience of working in an agile development environment and be comfortable working collaboratively with other developers and members of the QA team. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a track record in delivering to deadlines and show a willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take user stories and translate them to functional code
- Work with our QA team to ensure clarity of requirements and acceptance of completed work
- Develop features for different areas of the platform
- Build reusable components and libraries for future
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
- Taking ownership of, and pride in, the features which are being developed
- Keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and how they might be used for product improvement
- Lead feature development, from inception to delivery
- Mentor other team members, providing technical leadership and support
- Contribute to, and evolve, internal processes and practices
- Contribute to architectural decisions
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Demonstrate a deep knowledge of Microsoft .NET development, across multiple professional projects
- An in-depth understanding of WebAPI, and experience of working with WebAPI
- An in-depth understanding of Microservices architecture and/or SOA
- Experience in TypeScript/ECMA6, Angular or React
- Experience using CI, CD and other build/deployment processes
- Pro-active and self-motivated
- Keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- An understanding of code versioning tools, e.g. Git or TFS
- Leadership, team management and mentoring experience
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience of working with the Microsoft Azure platform, and ideally Service Fabric
- Experience of working with Microservices and Microservice architectures
- Experience with Cordova, especially with the Ionic Framework
- Experience with SQL Server RDBMS and T-SQL
- Examples of self-driven development e.g. projects or learning outside of work
