Senior Project Manager

Contract. 6 Months. £450-£475 P/D. Welwyn Garden City (Some international travel)

Senior Project Manager required urgently in Hertfordshire (Global Pharmaceutical company)
You will be responsible for: Project and change management. Leading the planning and implementation of global, medium to long term high visibility projects, including global cross-functional teams and related elements. Ensuring that solutions are delivered OTOB. Collaborating with project sponsors and leads in the business to define scope, approach, and benefits for the solution, as well as, on occasion, assist in developing the business case for the project itself.

Skills and experience required

  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or other related discipline
  • Qualification/certification in Project Management is strongly preferred
  • 4 or more years' project management experience, in pharmaceutical or related industry
  • Significant project management experience, ideally at the global or regional level
  • Experience working in a product development or safety function and/or significant exposure to product development and/or PV activities is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of best practice project and change management methodologies and tools
  • Strong knowledge of drug development, drug safety and commercialisation is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of governing regulations and standards, such as FDA and EU PV legislation, ICH, GCP and GVP is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end PV System and Quality Management System
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding objectives and goals
  • Proven abilities to consistently demonstrate behaviours in alignment with Values, Core Competencies and Safety Competencies
  • Demonstrable abilities to work with less guidance and supervision in strategising, designing and overseeing assigned activities as well as ad hoc assignments or projects
  • Strong financial acumen: proven effectiveness planning and managing budgets and other resources
  • Strong project and process management skills: proven abilities to effectively and efficiently manage multiple priorities, goals, objectives and tasks through to successful conclusion
  • Strong process improvement and change management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and partnering skills: has proven abilities to work effectively and efficiently in cross-functional, often virtual and matrix teams
