Job Description

Service Designer/User Researcher - 10 weeks - Central Belt Scotland - £350-460 per day

The Role:

  • Take forward the work already started by working groups to:
    • analyse failure within services and identify root causes for that failure
    • Understand opportunities for improvement within an existing service
  • Identify and understand user needs and arrange these into rational user stories & journeys within the service through conducting user research e.g. in depth interviews; co-creation workshops; and usability
  • Look for commonalities in activities across services where products could be made
  • Understand the existing supporting system of a service and design targeted improvements to that system to accommodate the new service - both digital and process based
  • Involve the team in user research to help everyone develop a deep understanding of users
  • Create clear findings that help the team continuously improve the service, based on data and evidence

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience (3 years +) of conducting Service design and user research and delivery within private and public sector organisations to create user-focused research that supports the provision of accessible services and a consistent user experience.
  • Compliance with information security policies
  • Desirable to have experience of working on digital online services and CRM platforms
  • Agile project working
