Video Editor - Edinburgh - Permanent

Highly experienced Video Editor required in Edinburgh on a permanent basis for one of our exciting clients.

You would be joining thier multimedia team who are responsible for the creation and management of video and image assets across all digital channels. The team creates and delivers a schedule of filming requirements, ensuring project management methodologies are followed and that projects are delivered on time and on budget.

The successful postholder will work closely with the Content Production and Multimedia Manager to develop and maintain an organisation-wide strategy for the production, sourcing, distribution and post production management of video content, and work in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, to ensure its delivery and optimisation.

The postholder will have good experience of working in

  • a dedicated post production environment and delivering a variety of video styles for digital channels.
  • Expert level experience across the adobe suite of products with core skills in editing, animation and grading.
  • A strong understanding of all other parts of the video production process will be crucial for this success of this role.

Other responsibilities include (but not limited to)

  • managing a video asset archive and maintaining a post-production archive compatible with external broadcast standards;
  • line management for one production executive, sharing skills and training others;
  • the creation and distribution of assets to third parties such as news media, travel trade or campaign
